NEET Physics Question Paper Guide

What is NEET?

NEET stands for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is a national-level entrance examination conducted in India for students who aspire to pursue medical and dental courses in government and private colleges across the country.

The NEET exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is considered one of the most competitive exams in India. It is a crucial step for students seeking admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) courses in various colleges and universities.

NEET Exam Format

The NEET exam consists of a single paper that is conducted in offline mode. It is a pen and paper-based test that spans a duration of three hours. The exam is divided into three sections, namely:-

  1. Biology
  2. Chemistry and 
  3. Physics.
Mode of Exam: – Offline
Time for Exam: – 3 hrs.


The physics section of the NEET exam evaluates the candidate’s understanding of various concepts and principles of physics. It tests their problem-solving skills and ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.

NEET Physics Question Paper

The NEET physics question paper is designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of physics concepts. It consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options, where the candidate must select the correct answer.

Physics portion of NEET exam consist of 50 questions which further has two sections in it.

Section – A 

  • has 35 Questions
  • Students need to attempt every question of this section.

Section – B 

  • has 15 Questions
  • Students needs to attempt only 10 Questions of this section.

Marks for Questions:-

  • on each Question carries 4 marks
  • on each incorrect answer there will be deduction of 1 marks
  • on not attempting any Question there will be no marks (0 marks)

The physics section of the NEET exam typically includes questions from various topics such as:-

  • Mechanics, 
  • Thermodynamics, 
  • Optics, 
  • Electromagnetism, and 
  • Modern Physics. 

It is essential for candidates to have a strong foundation in these topics to perform well in the exam.
